St Vincent Support Centre - Leeds

Its aim is to improve the quality of life for those deprived of income, employment, education, social networks, neighbourhood and community support. It does this by offering a holistic range of services, including debt advice, counselling, learning including ESOL, IT, numeracy and basic skills, a low cost shop , clothing and electrical items and a community café. - www.stvincents-svp.org.uk

Vincentian Volunteers

Vincentian Volunteers is an initiative involving young men and women (aged 18-35 years) from all over the world, who commit a year of their lives to the service of vulnerable people, in the spirit of St Vincent de Paul. They are a faith based community, living three or four to a house, from they go out to help a variety of people, from children who are visually impaired, to people who are experiencing homelessness, to those suffering from addictions and other forms of poverty.

We offer a package of services aimed at meeting local needs, and are committed to investing in the communities in which we work.

Prison Advice & Care Trust (pact)

The Prison Advice & Care Trust (pact) is a charity which supports people affected by imprisonment. We provide practical support to prisoners' children and families, and to prisoners themselves. The SVP are working in alliance with pact's Basic Caring Communities (BaCC) initiative, in which groups of volunteers support people during their journey out of prison and beyond.

The daughters of Charity are an international apostolic congregation within the Roman Catholic Church working with individuals, families and other groups of people, of all nationalities and beliefs, who are in need, disadvantaged, or marginalized - offering support, affirmation and practical help - www.daughtersofcharity.org.uk
